God's Storehouse
God's Storehouse
Our Present Food Closet
God's Storehouse, Project New Start's food bank, fed approximately 1,800 families in 2009. There are a growing number of families in our communities, cities and surrounding areas who are having to choose between paying bills, buying food, or paying for medical expenses. Many of these families have the head of the household unemployed or disabled. Many of these people are the elderly living on a small, fixed income. Some of these individuals and families have made unselfish contributions to our community. It is so very important to keep our pantries full because the need is so great. Many families in our area do not get enough food to provide the nutrients for fully productive and active lives. No one should have to go to bed hungry. Presently, God's Storehouse works out of an over-sized closet.

The future God's Storehouse is "in the dry". We currently are in need to finish the interior of this building. God's Storehouse still lacks all the necessary interior finish to open up it's doors. What is still needed to finish the building are interior partitions, a heating and cooling system, shelving, plumbing fixtures, etc. But as we receive donations, we will continue on it's construction. The building will have a large upstairs storage in addition to the food storage and food distribution area on the lower level. With this larger facility, we will better be able to serve the food needs of our local communities and will also be able to stock the pantries of other area food banks. What a wonderful blessing it will be when we finish this building so that we will have a centralized food storage and distribution area. If you would like to donate food items or make a financial donation or construction material donations to help us finish out the interior of the building, please contact us. God bless you and thank you.
Shepards Closet
A portion of God's Storehouse, when completed, will house the Shepherd's Closet. This will be Project New Start's clothing ministry that will provide free clothing to all needy children. In today's economic times it is getting harder and harder to buy adequate, new clothing for the children in growing families. Project New Start will be able to help provide clean, good condition clothing to help out families with limited clothing budgets for their children. No longer will a child have to worry about having inadequate winter clothes or few clothes to choose from to go to school. When the Shepherds closet is complete we will be able to clothe the surroundings communities.
Food Bank Day

Every Wednesday, Project New Start operates it's food bank, God's Storehouse. Presently we work out of the New Life Church. As it is written in Matthew 25, it is our charge as disciples of Jesus, to feed the hungry. We give as much as we can to help out those who are hungry and without. It is such a joy to see a little child smile when they see a sweet snack in their bags and it is a real blessing to know the food we give will help someone not to go hungry.
Spiritual Feeding With The Word of God
On food bank day our volunteers, Brother David Williams as well as many others not only provides physical food, but also spiritual food. Just as it is written in Matthew 4:4, " Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God". PNS wants all people to know that Jesus loves them and wants each and every one of them to come to know him as there saviour.
