Joshua House

 “Bringing Hope to the Hopeless”

You shall know the truth and the truth shall set your free.” Joshua 8:32

The Joshua House was originally the first men’s transitional drug and alcohol recovery housing facility in Jackson County, AR.  The Joshua House was bought and renovated by Project New Start in October 31, 2004 to help men who are battling drug and alcohol addictions. We have a God inspired vision that men can be free from drugs and alcohol.  Our vision is that no man or woman should be bound by drug or alcohol addiction, but instead have productive lives with their families and responsible jobs.

“By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.  But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? .” 1 John 3:16-17

Joshua House provides a safe haven for men that are needing a safe place to stay and have no where else to go. This home will provide the skills that are necessary for daily living while allowing the residents an opportunity to look for employement.

“My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth” 1 John 3:18

The home is designated as one of Project New Start’s low income homes for men. The Joshua House is capable of holding nine beds and helps anyone who needs a place to stay until they can get back up on their own feet. Please call 870-523-8413 if you need or you know someone who needs to stay in our shelter.

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Romans 8:1
