Hannah House 2

“Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”  Isaiah 40:30-31

The Hannah House 2 is the second transitional home we have opened up to house women and their children.  It has been a vision for our program to provide a safe, caring, and loving environment for women and their children who have struggled with addiction, depression, or any other bondages.  The women that live here have completed our treatment program and are now able to transition into this home with their children.  These women are equipped with the opportunity to obtain employment and work towards getting their own home.  It is a true blessing to see these women, who have gotten off on the wrong path and made decisions that negatively affected them and their children, grow and begin to see the emotional, spiritual, and physical change take place in their lives.

“And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm, and steadfast.”  1 Peter 5:10

My name is Lisa Cooper and I am 36 years old.  I have lived a life of chaos for the past 20 years.  Five years ago, I lost my husband to a drug overdose, leaving me a single mother of three children.  After my husband passed away, I started using drugs more heavily, sending me into a tailspin of destruction.  I did things I said I never would do and hurt people that were the closest to me.  I finally found myself sitting in a jail cell, crying out to God in complete defeat.  He stepped in and I was accepted into Project New Start.  I graduated the program in June of this year.  Throughtout the six months of treatment, I developed a relationship with God and put my life completely in His hands.  Bro. Tim and Sister Leslie gave me the opportunity to move into the Hannah House 2 with my 3 beautiful children.  This has been such a blessing to have a home and be able to provide for my children.  I thank God for the restoration He has allowed in my life and my kid’s life.
