Project New Start
What is Project New Start?

Project New Start, Inc. is a faith based
ministry
that operates many outreach programs.
These programs range from feeding the hungry,
giving shelter to the homeless, offering neglected
and abused children a safe and loving Christian
home. PNS also offers recovery homes for men
and women, who  have lost their way in life
due to drug and alchcol addictions. A past article
in People's Magazine reported that, per ca-pita
Jackson County, Arkansas ranked as the largest
manufacturer of methamphetamine in the enitire
United States. We at Project New Start, Inc., have
the solution to this problem. The solution is JESUS
CHRIST! Project New Start's tenet is based on
Matthew 25:35-36. Those verses read; "For I was
hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave
me drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into
your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing.
I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison,
and you visited me." At Project New Start, Inc. we
minister to the addicted, lift up the downtrodden,
give hope to the hopless, and provide for
those who are hungry and without.

 MISSION STATEMENT

WHAT DOES PROJECT NEW START, INC. OFFER?

Project New Start, Inc., ministries include
two men's transitional alcohol and drug
recovery housing facilities, which are the
Joshua House and the Gideon House. The
Caleb House is our first men's assisted
living home and provides a home for male
graduates so they have a safe place to live
from worldly temptations.  The Esther House
is our women’s transitional alcohol and drug
recovery housing facility. The Esther House is
also an assisted living home for female graduates.
The Deborah House, which is a portion of the
Esther House, serves as a home for women who
are contemplating having an abortion and who have
no one to turn to, or nowhere else to go. This
home also allows those pregnant women to live
in a loving Christian home where they can raise
their precious gift they receive from God. Project
New Start
now has a total of 58 beds for residents
and live-in staff.  Our plan for the future is to be
able to open more recovery homes and assisted
living homes to help people change their lives through
the living Word of God. Project New Start has
now also opened up a home for abused and
neglected children, called the New Life Children's
Home. This home is providing a safe haven for
children, boys and girls, and is teaching them
the gospel of our Lord.  The children attend local
school, are provided with nutritious meals and
have  people who care for them and love them.
Project New Start additionally offers a weekly
food bank, which helps all those who need
food assistance.  There are so many people
during these tough economic times that are
having trouble paying their bills plus buying
groceries to feed their families. The weekly
food bank helps as much as it can to feed
individuals and families who are not able to
buy the food they need.
     Breakthrough meetings and nightly
Scriptural life skills classes are provided on
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and
Saturday nights from greatly appreciated
community volunteers.  Our classes are designed
to assist those,  who want to have a new start
in life plus offer individuals a chance to seek  guidance.

Another ministry to Project New Start is our
bi-weekly nursing home visits. The hours we
visit let them know there are people who care for
and love them. Our visits provide an immeasurable,
blessed impact in their daily lives.  Project New
Start also offers a weekly jail ministry providing
encouraging, comforting visits that let those
incarcerated know that Jesus is always there for
them. Many people have been "set free" through
dedicating their lives to God, while they have sat
behind those cold, concrete walls.  Our volunteers
also provide  free Bibles to all those who want one.

                                                             OUR VISION
Our vision is to help all those who need help. We hope
to expand our ministries so that we can help
even more individuals, who are struggling
with bondages, be set free. We also want to
expand our children's homes so that all children
can experience what a joy-filled, loving home is
like. If you believe in our ministries and would like
